Validation Demo - Showing the Power of XBRL Formulas and Calculations

The US SEC is currently collecting and making available quarterly and annual filings in XBRL. This demonstration show how XBRL Formulas and Calculations can be leveraged to to provide information to both the creator and user of the filing. This live demo allows you to select one of the recent interactive data filings to the SEC and run the following reports:

1. Does the filing meet Chapter 6 of the EDGAR Filing Manual?
2. Movement analysis on the cash flow (does the ending cash balance = begining cash balance + changes in cash?
3. Does the filing reconcile based on the calculations defined in the XBRL linkbase?

Demo Instructions

1. Select company from the list below
2. Select one of the tests on the right side
3. click on generate report
   • it may take up to a minute to generate the report
   • The report is then downloaded as an HTML file
4. Open up the downloaded HTML file and view the results
